Coral Snakes

 


I just finished making these coral snake earrings for my shop and got to thinking about the confusion surrounding coral snake ID (the earrings could represent the eastern or Texas species) v. their harmless mimics. Rather than re-invent the wheel (much too lazy for that!) I found this wonderful blog post to share about coral snakes and their mimics here:

Maceo

Last night I lost my beloved Maceo.  I've had him since he was six weeks old and he just turned 17 on April 1st.  I miss him dearly already. Rest well sweet boy.
